Meet the Doulas

Jessee Perry is a Virginia native, having grown up in Chesterfield County and currently living in Richmond City with her husband, son, and four cats. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a triple major in political science, philosophy, and communication studies with a minor in ethics. For over a decade, Jessee has worked in the insurance industry as a sales coach and most recently opening her own insurance agency in 2019 in Midlothian.

Jessee’s entry into the birth worker community was inspired by the support her doula provided her during the birth of her first son. Ever since then she has dreamed of empowering women during their pregnancies and births to have the best possible experience. She completed the RVA Doulas training program through the Office of Community Wealth Building and The VBAC Link Advanced VBAC Doula certification in 2024. As a person living with mental health challenges, her passion is supporting birthing people who share the same struggles.

In her spare time, Jessee is a contributor to the local politics blog RVA Dirt and volunteers with the Richmond City Democratic Committee, serving as the second vice chair of finance. She also enjoys spending her time at the river with her husband and cross stitching.

Caroline Park is a mom, stepmom, and lover of all things baby and birth related. She has attended pregnancy, labor, and birth support trainings in Texas, Louisiana, and Virginia, and is an Advanced VBAC Certified doula. Originally from Houston, Texas, Caroline has lived in Virginia since 2021 and spent several months living in Harrisonburg and Fairfax before deciding to make the Richmond area her home.

Caroline practices attachment parenting and enjoys educating families on babywearing, cosleeping, cloth diapering, and infant feeding. She is particularly passionate about supporting physiologic birth, helping clients navigate infant feeding issues, and working with families who have previously experienced pregnancy or child loss.

When not supporting families and their new babies (or spending time with her own), Caroline enjoys baking, needle felting, and designing logos, yard signs, mailers, and more for local political candidates.
